PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soot emission amount estimation device capable of accurately estimating an emission amount of soot.SOLUTION: A soot emission amount estimation device 30 for estimating an emission amount of soot generated in combustion of fuel includes a pressure sensor 43 for detecting a pressure in a combustion chamber 14, arrival distance estimating means for estimating an arrival distance to an injection direction of fuel to a crank angle of an engine 10 based on the fact that a momentum of the fuel is stored as a momentum of an air-fuel mixture of the fuel and gas in the combustion chamber 14, heat generation rate estimating means for estimating a heat generation rate by combustion of the fuel to the crank angle based on the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 43, oxygen concentration estimating means for estimating an oxygen concentration of the air-fuel mixture to the crank angle, air-fuel ratio estimating means for estimating an air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture to the crank angle based on the estimated arrival distance and the estimated oxygen concentration, and emission amount estimating means for estimating an emission amount of soot based on the estimated heat generation rate and the estimated air-fuel ratio. |
