Actaplanin antibiotics having formula (I) and its pharma ceutically acceptable salts are prepd. by partial hydrolysis of suitable actaplanin factor (selected from factor A, B1, B2, B3, C1a, C3 and G) at 80-100 deg.C and at pH 1.5-2.0. In the formula, R=L-listosamine, R1=H, glucosyl, disaccharide minnosyl-glucose or lamnosyl-glucose, R2 and R3=H or mannose independently. (I) are soluble to the water and polar org. solvent. React (I0 with suitable acids i.e. HCl, H2SO4, H3PO4, HNO3 to give pharmaceutically acceptable salts. (I) can be used to promote feed efficiency of ruminant. |
