PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a printing plate capable of replacing the plate or particularly a sleeve-like printing plate by a slight expense and a required space. SOLUTION: In this apparatus, the printing plate 20 in which a printing image is not yet formed is disposed on a support cylinder 1. The cylinder 1 is supported by bearings 2, 3 disposed in a frame 4, and driven by a motor 5. In this case, the cylinder 1 is releasable at an opposite side to the motor 5 by the fact that a first journal 10 supported to the bearing 2 is separable from the cylinder 1. The plate 20 can be drawn in the axial direction of the plate 20 from the cylinder 1 by this releasing operation.
