A power supply control apparatus includes a transition unit, a detector, an image capturing unit, a command unit, and an identity recognition unit. The transition unit shifts a state of a control target to a power supply state or to a power shutoff state. The detector detects a moving object while the processing target is in the power shutoff state. The image capturing unit captures an image of a specific area when the detector detects the moving object. The command unit commands the transition unit to make the state of the control target shift to the power supply state in a case where it is determined that the moving object is approaching the control target in accordance with image information of the captured image. The identity recognition unit performs identity recognition for the moving object by using a characteristic image portion of an image captured by the image capturing unit. |
