Method for applying colour patterns or colour portions to at least one slubbing of hairs and/or fibres which are joined together loosely, are preferably aligned substantially in parallel or are spun with one another in the manner of a yarn, wherein at least one colour, as a rule a plurality of colours, is/are applied by way of a contactlessly operating colour application device as colour portions to the upper side of a slubbing, wherein the slubbing is moved relative to the colour device by way of a transport device, wherein 1. the slubbing which is preferably removed from a rotating can passes the colour application device such that the hairs and/or fibres thereof lie parallel to the slubbing belt on the transport device, 2. the colour/colours is/are applied by the colour application device in a preferably adjustable pressure depth on the slubbing, 3. the colour portions are distributed downstream of the colour application device towards the underside of the slubbing transversely with respect to the movement direction of the slubbing by means of a hot air-blown suction device, 4. the at least prefixed slubbing is laid, downstream of the prefixing or fixing section, by means of a depositing means or in an oscillating manner in loops onto a steamer transport belt which subsequently moves into a steamer housing, 5. the passage time of the steamer transport belt, preferably at a constant printing speed, can be set, in order to regulate the steaming time. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method. |
