The present invention relates to a hybrid engine apparatus and in particular to a method for controlling a power turbine of said apparatus. The method comprises the step of calculating the real value of an operative parameter of the power turbine. Said parameter is calculated as a function of the rotational speed of the power turbine and is characteristic of the real efficiency of the same turbine. The method further comprises the step of comparing said real value with at least a reference value corresponding to a required value of efficiency for the turbine. If the real efficiency is lower than said minimum required value of efficiency, then the rotational speed of the power turbine is changed by means of an asynchronous machine until the real parameter corresponds to an efficiency greater than or equal to said required efficiency. |
