PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen display method and a display device that are able to restrict an increase in data capacity used in a storage unit.SOLUTION: When a screen is switched from the transition source of a higher rank to the transition destination of a lower rank and is displayed, a return screen ID is acquired from a return screen storage ID table and stored by using a screen number and a transition destination group acquired from a table as an operation attached to the screen is performed.
