PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source that varies less in color.SOLUTION: A light source 30 includes a die 31, a light conversion element 33, and a scattering ring 34. The die emits light with a first wavelength through an upper surface and one or more side surfaces, and is bonded to a surface of an attached substrate 32. The light conversion element converts the light with the first wavelength into light with a second wavelength, is bonded to the upper surface of the die, and has a lateral size of such a degree that a space exists around the die and the border is formed by the attached substrate and the light conversion element. The scattering ring is located in the space so that a part of the light emitted from the side surface of the die scatters in the light conversion element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
