PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for an electric vehicle capable of charging the electric vehicle by using an existing parking meter and with simple facilities.SOLUTION: A charger for an electric vehicle uses a parking meter installed in the vicinity of a parking space in a side part of a road. The parking meter comprises: a fee input unit; an operation unit for calculating charging electric energy corresponding to a fee input from the fee input unit; an electric energy calculation unit for calculating electric energy supplied to the electric vehicle; and a control unit which stops charging the electric vehicle when a result of the electric energy calculation by the electric energy calculation unit has reached the charging electric energy calculated by the operation unit. |
