PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding method capable of improving strength of a structure of a rolling stock by mitigating stress concentration generated near a spot welding position.SOLUTION: A spot welding method, for joining a first member and a second member composing a structure of a rolling stock by spot welding, includes: a first process for calculating stresses at respective planned positions based on first to n-th spot layout data respectively showing first to n-th arrangements of planned positions for spot-welding the first member and the second member; a second process for selecting one spot layout data with small stress concentration from the first to n-th spot layout data based on the result of comparing sizes of stresses calculated in the first process; and a third process for spot-welding the first member and the second member according to the planned positions shown by the spot layout data selected in the second process. |
