A match metric representing an aspect of a match between the item of hosted content and an item of reference content, the item of reference content provided by a content owner having rights to the item of reference content. A policy associated with the item of reference content is identified responsive to the value to that represents the correspondence, the policy including terms of use for the hosted content. The policy is provided to the media host.
