The component (10) has a component body (30) e.g. lamp housing, comprising a longitudinal direction. A sealing (50) is formed at the component body, and extends in the longitudinal direction, where the component body and the sealing commonly form an extrusion profile that is manufactured in co-extrusion process. The component body and the sealing are connected with one other in a form-fit, force-fit and/or firmly-bonded manner. The sealing has two sections along the longitudinal direction, where one of the sections is arranged in a recess (34) of the component body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component.
