PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article and a method for manufacturing the same, stabilizing the folding position of a side flap part.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes: a body part M extending in the longitudinal direction L and having an absorber 4; and side flap parts SF projected outside in the width direction W of the body part M and including a side sheet 11 and a back sheet 3. Each of the side flap parts SF has a folding start point embossment 50, which is pressed in the thickness direction from the side sheet 11 and extending linearly in the longitudinal direction at least at one end part side in the longitudinal direction L farther from the central region CA including the center C of an excretion port abutting region disposed opposite to an excretion port of a wearer. The side flap part SF can be folded from one end part in the longitudinal direction L of the side flap part SF to the other end part in the longitudinal direction L, starting from the folding start point embossment 50 toward the body part M. |
