PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To initiate software that a support tool receives when support information associated with the software is selected.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus characterized in that a start instruction statement of installed software is registered in a registry acquires identification information specifying the kind of support information and menu information including a start instruction statement for initiating software associated with the support information from a server, displays support information included in the acquired menu information selectably by a user using the identification information specifying the kind of the support information, retrieves whether the start instruction statement is registered in the registry when the start instruction statement corresponding to the selected support information is included in the menu information, and issues the start instruction statement to an operating system when it is found through the retrieval that the start instruction statement is registered in the registry. |
