PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound type recording device capable of reducing the height of the device while securing visibility of an operation panel.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 is a compound type recording device where a scanner unit 3 is rotatably connected to a recording unit 2. In the scanner unit 3, a manuscript cover 4 for opening/closing a manuscript platen 39 is arranged to be rotatable with a rotation shaft in the rear part of the device as a center. A notched part 4a is formed in the front edge of the manuscript cover 4 so as to obtain position relation where the upper part of an operation panel 5 enters the inner side of the notched part 4a. Thus, while avoiding the miniaturization of the operation panel 5, the height of the device is reduced compared with a configuration where the operation panel 5 and the manuscript platen cover 4 are arranged by overlapping. |
