PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and an image display system able to highly accurately align images projected from a plurality of projectors.SOLUTION: The projector for projecting an image onto a projection surface comprises: an image projecting section 10 for projecting images; a storage section 37 storing a first position adjustment pattern 5A and a second position adjustment pattern 5B projected on a screen SC. The first and second position adjustment patterns 5A and 5B include characteristic figures 51A and 51B respectively composed of a common color; and auxiliary figures 52A and 52B, respectively, located in positions different from the characteristic figures 51A and 51B. The colors of the auxiliary figures 52A and 52B differ according to adjustment patters 5A and 5B respectively. |
