A control device of an internal combustion engine comprising a wastegate valve configured to be capable of controlling the power a turbine receives from exhaust gas by diverting part of the exhaust gas from an upstream part of the turbine to a downstream part, the control device being provided with: an opening degree controller for controlling the opening degree of the wastegate valve in accordance with the required torque in a supercharged range of the internal combustion engine; and an opening degree correction part for correcting, in the opening direction, the opening degree of the wastegate valve controlled by the opening degree controller when the internal combustion engine is accelerating and the rotating speed of the turbine at the start of acceleration is in a reduced state.
