A method of controlling a front load washing machine is disclosed. The method of controlling a front load washing machine according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a step of, by a control unit, controlling a gradient of a tub so that a front end of the tub is disposed above a rear end thereof to put laundry when power is applied; a step of, by the control unit, controlling the gradient of the tub so that the front end is parallel to the rear end to facilitate washing of the laundry when a washing operation is started; a step of, by the control unit, controlling the gradient of the tub so that the rear end of the tub is disposed under the front end to increase a contact between laundry during the washing operation; a step of, by the control unit, controlling the gradient of tub so that the front end of the tub is disposed under the rear end to discharge the laundry when the washing operation is completed; a step of, by a user, opening a door when the control of the tub gradient is completed; a step of, by the control unit, rotating a drum when the opening of the door is detected; and a step of, by the control unit, stopping rotation of the drum when the laundry is discharged from the drum. |
