PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing efficiently a nitride polycrystal of a group 13 metal in the periodic table having a small impurity content.SOLUTION: A nitride polycrystal of a group 13 metal in the periodic table which is a seed crystal is installed in a reaction vessel, and the nitride polycrystal of the group 13 metal in the periodic table is produced by growing the crystal on the seed crystal, to thereby enable efficient production of the nitride polycrystal of the group 13 metal in the periodic table. Especially, a nitride polycrystal of a group 13 metal in the periodic table which is suitable for a raw material used for a crystal growth method such as an ammonothermal method can be produced, and thereby cost reduction or quality improvement of a nitride bulk crystal of the group 13 metal in the periodic table using this as a raw material can be expected. |
