Method for transporting objects

Two tapered cylindrical rollers 2 and 3 are disposed so that their diameter gradually increases from a first end on the object introduction side to a second end on the subsequent-process side. On the basis of the information obtained from sensor 5 for detecting the size of an object "a" and distance 9 between the object "a" and the next object "b", the circumferential velocity of rollers 2 and 3 is slowed in the case of increasing the distance between the objects "a" and "b". In the case of decreasing the distance, the circumferential velocity is quickened. Such a control allows the objects "a" and "b" to be transported to the subsequent process at a time interval of at least a predetermined length.
