The glass ceramic hob has glass ceramic plate that is provided with smooth upper surface (1) and bottom surface (2) having stud structure (20). Several heating elements are arranged below glass ceramic plate. A display region (5) is arranged in edge region of glass-ceramic plate. The glass ceramic plate is polished, and beveled edges (3) of glass ceramic plate is inclined at shallow angle to bottom surface.
