The invention relates to a seat arrangement (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising: a seat (10) which has a seat structure (11) for providing the structural dimensions and structural resistance for seating at least one person and which has a seat cushion that is attached at least onto a seat surface section (13) of the seat structure so as to form a seat surface for the at least one person; a backrest (20) which has a backrest structure (21) for providing the structural dimensions and structural resistance for supporting the back of the at least one person and which has a backrest cushion that is attached at least onto a contact surface section (23) of the backrest structure so as to form a contact surface for the at least one person; and a side airbag device (30) which is integrated into the backrest adjacently to a lateral backrest border. The side airbag device is integrated into the backrest such that the side airbag device is offset towards the center of the backrest in a width direction (BR) of the seat arrangement relative to a backrest structure side support (22) corresponding to the backrest border and is overlapped by the side support on the side of the backrest border when seen in the width direction. In this manner, the side airbag device can reliably protect a person located on the seat arrangement from being injured by a side collision. |
