PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure a distance between a position detector 7 and an object 2 to be detected, in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction of a car of an elevator provided with the position detector 7 on the car side and the object 2 corresponding to the position detector 7 on the hoistway side respectively to detect the position of the car by contactless engaging of the position detector 7 with the object 2.SOLUTION: A right-and-left position measurer 30 and a front-and-rear position measurers 31, 32 are attached to the position detector 7. When the position detector 7 is engaged with an object 2 to be detected, laser 30a is projected to the object 2 from the right and left position measurer 30, and light 33 is projected to a light receiver 32 from a light projector 31, and thereby the distance between the position detector 7 and the object 2 is automatically measured. |
