[Class 86] [Also in Group I] To regenerate zeolite material in a water softener, a funnel-like receptacle 15 is superposed on the container 11 of the softener and salt is positively fed from this receptacle into the water above the zeolite material, the water being stirred by a member projecting from the receptacle 15. At its upper end the receptacle is provided with a spider 18 forming a bearing for a spindle 20 extending through the receptacle and, where it passes through the outlet 17, being formed with a feeding worm 21. The extremity of the spindle is cranked to form the stirring arm 22. The spindle also carries an. agitating vane 25 operating in the funnelshaped part of the receptacle. The receptacle may be made of synthetic resin and the spindle and agitating vane of metal rod or wire embedded in synthetic resin. |
