PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone separator and a vacuum cleaner capable of increasing dust capturing performance.SOLUTION: A cyclone separator (a dust collection unit 13) includes: a swirl chamber 29 for separating dust from dust-containing air by swirling the dust-containing air that flows in from a main inflow port 42 and at least one secondary inflow port 45; a discharge part 51 that projects from the edge surface in an axial direction of the swirl chamber 29 toward the inside of the swirl chamber 29 and discharges the air inside the swirl chamber 29; a main inflow air path 27 for causing the dust-containing air to flow into the swirl chamber 29 through the main inflow port 42; and a secondary inflow air path 28 for causing the dust-containing air to flow into the swirl chamber 29 through at least one secondary inflow port 45. At least part of the secondary inflow air path 28 has a spiral shape in which it transitions in the projection direction of the discharge part 51 while swirling in the same direction as the dust-containing air inside the swirl chamber 29.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23
