PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which aberration is successfully corrected at a bright F value exceeding F/2.0 so as to obtain a high imaging performance, and an aperture diaphragm is configured to be variable so as to enable control of a depth of field.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging optical system having a plurality of lenses, and an imaging surface which is provided in the vicinity of an imaging surface of the imaging optical system and is curved so that a concave surface thereof is directed toward an object side. The imaging optical system has at least two lenses, a gap between the two lenses is filled with a fluid medium, an aperture diaphragm is disposed in the fluid medium, a shape of a lens surface disposed on a side closer to the object side than the aperture diaphragm and in contact with the fluid medium is formed as a concave surface, and a shape of a lens surface disposed on a side closer to the image side than the aperture diaphragm and in contact with the fluid medium is formed as a convex surface, a focal distance of the imaging optical system and a distance from an exit pupil of the imaging optical system to the imaging surface are set to be substantially the same, and a curvature radius of the imaging surface is set to be substantially the same as a distance from the exit pupil of the imaging optical system to the imaging surface. |
