PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of appropriately performing matching even when a vehicle is positioned in a predetermined range of SAPA in which wrong matching likely occurs, and a navigation method and a navigation program.SOLUTION: A navigation system 1 comprises: a current position detection unit 2 for detecting a current position of the own vehicle; a matching unit 6d for performing map matching of a detection position to an object vehicle line; an express highway travelling determination unit 6a for determining whether the own vehicle is travelling on an express highway; an upstream/downstream information acquisition unit 6b for acquiring upstream/downstream information; and a facility approach determination unit 6c for determining whether SAPA is positioned in a predetermined range from the own vehicle. When the express highway travelling determination unit 6a determines the own vehicle is travelling on an express highway and the facility approach determination unit 6c determines SAPA is positioned in a predetermined range from the own vehicle, the matching unit 6d specifies a vehicle line in a direction matched with a direction shown by the upstream/downstream information as an object vehicle line. |
