PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DD (direct drive) motor that can have a flat structure while suppressing footprints at a minimum level.SOLUTION: A direct drive motor comprises: a motor part 2 giving a rotation torque to an output shaft S; a bearing 4 freely rotatably supporting the output shaft; a rotation detector (a resolver) 6 detecting a rotation state of the motor part; and a housing 8 positioning and fixing the motor part, the bearing, and the rotation detector so as to be arranged in an output shaft direction to a motor installation surface B. The motor part is configured of: a stator 2a always maintained in a static state; and a rotor 2b arranged so as to be rotatably opposed to the stator. The housing includes a motor housing (a housing inner) 8a to which the stator is fixed, and a motor rotor (a rotor flange) 8b to which the rotor is fixed, and these make double substantially-cylindrical structures arranged coaxially and having different diameters. Each of the housing inner and the rotor flange is molded in a body without a gap in an extending direction of the cylinder. |
