PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of configuring a developing unit drawable in an axial direction of a photoconductor drum relative to a housing, while contacting and separating a developing roller and the photoconductor drum to/from each other.SOLUTION: A color printer 1 includes a body casing 2 that includes a front cover 6, a photoconductor drum 21, and a developing unit 16 that includes a developing roller 26; and a first cam member 66 is provided to a developing side cover 63 of the front cover 6. In a state where the front cover 6 is arranged at a closed position, the developing roller 26 is moved between a proximity position and a separation position by the movement of the first cam member 66; and in a state where the front cover 6 is arranged at an opened position, the first cam member 66 is retreated from a drawing trajectory of the developing unit 16 from the body casing 2. |
