The present invention enables the safety of transactions to be improved in a teller machine that conducts transactions without using media on which information used for the transactions is recorded. The present invention pertains to a teller machine that conducts transactions with users. The teller machine is characterized by having: a unit that handles media-utilizing transactions in which transactions are conducted with users with the use of media on which information pertaining to the transactions is recorded, and non-media-utilizing transactions in which transactions are conducted with users without the use of media on which information pertaining to the transactions is recorded; and a unit that monitors users by selecting different monitoring methods when conducting media-utilizing transactions and when conducting non-media-utilizing transactions, and performs control such that a transaction is terminated when it has been detected that a user is no longer in the vicinity of the teller machine. |
