PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce maintenance workload when abnormality relating to any of plural rollers driven by one motor occurs.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises: N sets of transportation rollers; a motor which is a common drive source for the rollers; a paper sensor to detect existence or nonexistence of a paper at a detecting position upstream of the rollers on a transportation path; a memory to store a threshold value; means to monitor transition of a drive current value of the motor during transportation; means to measure time length of a period from a time when a paper is detected by the paper sensor to a time when the drive current value becomes the threshold value or lower after exceeding the threshold value; means to identify the abnormality-relating roller from the N sets of rollers based on transportation time from the detecting position to the arrangement position of each roller and the length of the measured period; and means to output abnormality-notifying information showing the identified roller. |
