摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a heat insulation layer capable of absorbing a difference of coefficient of thermal expansion of an engine and that of the insulation layer to prevent occurrence of crack and peeling and at the same time preventing soaking of fuel to be attained within a short time.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for forming a heat insulation layer at a prescribed location in an engine comprising the steps of: applying a heat treatment to the prescribed location in the engine; coating the heat insulation layer with material containing silicone resin in at least a part of the prescribed surface of the engine to form the heat insulation layer and incinerating in two steps after forming the heat insulation layer, the incineration at the second step that is carried out after incineration of the first stage is in a range of 3 hours or more and 10 hours or less at a temperature of 230°C or more and 250°C or less and the incineration temperature at the first step is lower than the incineration temperature at the second step.
