PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a zoom lens having an image blur correcting function whose zoom position is relatively detected, when image blur correcting characteristic is varied corresponding to the zoom position, an image blur correcting angle can not be set to the appropriate one before initializing the zoom position, accordingly, color shift and aberration increase.SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes: a magnification-varying group moving in an optical axis direction when varying magnification; a movable optical unit arranged on an object side of the magnification-varying group; and a control means for moving the optical unit, and moves the optical unit to displace an image. In the zoom lens, a movable range of the optical unit is larger at a wide angle end than at a telephoto end. The zoom lens further includes: a position detecting means for detecting a relative position of the magnification-varying group; and a position computing means for computing a position of the magnification-varying group based on the detected relative position of the magnification-varying group. The magnification-varying group is driven to a reference position immediately after power is supplied, then the position of the magnification-varying group stored in the position computing means is initialized to the reference position, and the magnification-varying group is driven to a position when the power is supplied, and then the movable range of the optical unit is set corresponding to a magnification-varying position. |
