PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To totally reduce biogas production cost, and supply the biogas inexpensively.SOLUTION: An underground fermentation facility includes: a biomass production facility B on the ground; a biomass fermentation site D with peripheries covered by a water impermeable wall W over between a ground surface part G and an underground water impermeable layer in a plan view, and for cultivating microorganisms; a biomass supply facility 6 for solubilizing to water the biomass produced by the biomass production facility B and supplying it to the biomass fermentation site D; and a biogas collection unit 71 for collecting biogas produced by anaerobic fermentation from the biomass fermentation site D, installed in the biomass fermentation site surrounded by the water impermeable wall. |
