The invention provides an apparatus and method for quantifying a handshake by a number of physical parameters. These parameters include handshake amplitude, grip strength, rhythm, sweatiness, and length of duration. The device consists of a set of sensors mounted on a segmented arm with three points of rotation and a grip on one end that is grasped and oscillated to mimic shaking hands with another person. The sensors collect data about the handshake that is then processed by a computer and may be compared to baseline data. |
