The present invention relates to a backlight unit and a display apparatus comprising the same. The backlight unit of the present invention comprises: a light source including a light emitting lamp for emitting light having a wavelength of 450 nm and an inorganic phosphor provided in at least a portion of the inside or surface of the lamp and having a maximum emission wavelength of 510 to 560 nm when irradiated with light having a wavelength of 450 nm; and a color conversion film including an organic phosphor and having a maximum emission wavelength of 610 to 660 nm when irradiated with light emitted from the light emitting lamp or the inorganic phosphor. The backlight unit of the present invention can improve a color gamut by using the light source and one color conversion film.
