PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear which enables an axial dimension of a bush to be set largely in a limited axial space within a housing to stably hold a rack shaft.SOLUTION: A steering gear includes: a pinion shaft; a rack shaft 6; a rack end 7 formed at an end part of the rach shaft 6; a housing 9 housing the rack shaft 6; and a bush 10 which pivotally supports the rack shaft 6 so that the rack shaft 6 may slide relative to the housing 9. The bush 10 includes: a cylindrical elastic member 11 having a slide part 13 which slides on an outer peripheral surface 6B of the rack shaft 6; and a collar 12 molded by a material having rigidity higher than that of the elastic member 11 and fitted on the elastic member 11. One end part of the elastic member 11 protrudes to the rack end 7 side further than one end part of the collar 12 so as to elastically deform when butted with the rack end 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
