PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice chest in which the cooked rice stored in a refrigerator, etc., and being yellowed by the Maillard reaction to be hardened from a surface and a periphery due to decrease of moisture can be changed close to a freshly cooked state.SOLUTION: A rice chest comprises a rice chest body formed of a cooked rice receiving part for receiving cooked rice, water storage means provided with a water storage part installed on the upper part of the rice chest body, and a lid body provided on the upper part of the water storage means. The rice chest body, the water storage means and the lid body are formed by a material capable of being heated in a microwave oven, respectively. Also, in the water storage means, a vent is formed which serves as a passage for making the steam generated from the water storage part fall on the cooked rice receiving part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
