摘要 Provided are: a flipping device capable of suppressing a defect caused by wear debris generated from the contact and sliding between a pair of clamping parts and a pair of substrates when the pair of clamping parts clamps the pair of substrates, the wear debris being melted when the pair of substrates is heated and then adhered thereto when the pair of substrates is cooled; and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel by using the flipping device. A flipping device (7) comprises a main body (71), a shaft supporting part (72), an air cylinder (73), a motor (75), a plurality of substrate contact parts (8), and a plurality of substrate supporting parts (9). The substrate contact parts (8) and the substrate supporting parts (9) clamp a pair of substrates with each shaft center set parallel to each other, and the motor (75) flips the clamped pair of substrates. The substrate contact parts (8) and the substrate supporting parts (9) have heat resistance layers (second coated parts 83, 93) with a heat resistance temperature that is higher than the temperature at which the pair of substrates is heated after being flipped.
