PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphic display device which enables a user to learn about ratios by designating a segment on a graphic and performing intuitive operation.SOLUTION: When the user makes the graphic display device display an arbitrary graphic (triangle ABC) and designates a series of apexes and intersections (A, D, and B) of a segment (A-B) constituting the graphic, one and the other designated end points (X) and (Y) are connected correspondingly to the segment of the graphic, and an indicator (X-P-Y) of a straight line or a polygonal line having a point designated between points (X) and (Y) as an intermediate point (P) is displayed. When the indicator (X-P-Y) is moved correspondingly to another segment (A-C) constituting the graphic being displayed, the indicator (X-P-Y) is flexibly deformed and moved in the display while maintaining an initial segment ratio (XP:YP=m:n) in the display. Accordingly, the user can easily visually confirm whether segment ratios AD:DB and AE:EC are equal to the segment ratio m:n. |
