Compounds of the general formula (I) and salts thereof are useful in the treatment of diseases associated with aberrant activity of the protein kinases IKK&egr; and/or TBK-1 in which one of V and W is N, and the other of V and W is C—H; and R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as defined in the specification. The invention also provides uses of the compounds and compositions containing them.
