PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of simply forming a coating layer of an inorganic or organic material on the surface of a thin wire made of an inorganic or organic material, especially of a thin wire with an outer diameter of 100 μm or thinner, with a more even thickness than conventional methods.SOLUTION: A coating method for forming a coating layer on the surface of a thin wire made of an inorganic or organic material includes depositing a coating solution to be used for forming the coating layer on the tip end of a tool or a substrate for holding liquid droplets, holding the formed liquid droplets, passing the thin wire in the liquid droplets of the coating solution to coat the surface of the thin wire with the coating solution, and thereafter carrying out at least one of treatments; that is, drying treatment at room temperature or heating, heating treatment, or light irradiation treatment to form the coating layer on the surface of the thin wire. |
