592,899. Record cards. COPELAND-CHATTERSON CO., Ltd., and MANN, A. May 29, 1945, No. 13445. [Class 16] [Also in Group XIX] In a record card consisting of a double card folded on itself at G, the two leaves A, B being pasted together at G<1>, or consisting of two superposed cards pasted together along both side edges, with an interleaved transfer paper C, the cards A, B are slotted out to the margin at D so that a needle passed through the slots may engage the transfer paper C and remove it; the card A is also slotted out to the margin at E in coincidence with a hole E' in the card B to enable the two cards to be separated by needling when detached from one another as by cutting off the side edges. An alternative slot and hole E2 may also be provided. Slits F extending to the edges of the cards and slits F<1> which extend to the edges of the cards when the strip G<1> has been removed enable the cards to be used in a system of visible filing. Specification 435,368 is referred to. |
