An activity level measurement device is attached to the body of a person to be monitored, and measures the activity level thereof. Herein, the activity level measurement device is equipped with: a retention means for dividing a prescribed activity strength range into a plurality of ranges, and retaining sound information in which a different sound is associated with each divided range; a calculation means for calculating an activity strength wave profile representing the state of activity of the person to be monitored, on the basis of the output from an acceleration sensor for detecting the movement of the body of the person to be monitored; a peak detection means for detecting a peak from the activity strength wave profile calculated by the calculation means; a selection means for selecting a sound that corresponds to the peak value detected by the peak detection means, on the basis of the sound information retained in the retention means; and a sound output means for outputting the sound selected by the selection means each time that the peak detection means detects the peak. |
