PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing mandrel used in the case of printing a metallic can barrel and also capable of reducing stain at the inner surface of a can body.SOLUTION: This printing mandrel comprises a mandrel main body 2 having a space K into which air is sucked and arranged at its extremity end and into which a metallic can body 10 is inserted and fitted under a state in which the space K is kept under minus pressure; a mandrel shaft 3 arranged inside the mandrel main body 2 and formed with an air flow passage 31 from which air is sucked through the inside part of the metallic can body 10; a bearing part having bearings 41, 42 arranged at the extremity and the base end of the mandrel shaft 3 so as to rotatably support the mandrel main body 2 in respect to the mandrel shaft 3; and aeration flow passages 51, 52 arranged to bypass at least one of the bearings in the passages reaching the space K from the outside of the mandrel main body 2 through a clearance between the mandrel main body 2 and the mandrel shaft 3. |
