PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by cooling with using inertial rotation from drive stop of a cooling fan to rotation stop of the cooling fan.SOLUTION: A cooling fan drive control device 1 includes a mode setting part 11 that sets high-speed mode or low-speed mode according to the heat value generated in a device. A drive processing part 12 outputs, in the high-speed mode, a drive signal to a drive circuit 2 so as to continuously rotate a fan 3 at a predetermined rotation speed, and outputs, in the low-speed mode, a drive signal to the drive circuit 2 after stopping the drive of the fan 3, when a predetermined time elapses after receiving a detection signal from a lock detection circuit 30 of a drive motor of the fan 3. The fan 3 rotates by inertia from the drive stop to the rotation stop, thereby enabling cooling in the low-speed mode. |
