PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger and a charging method that sets a use area of a battery according to a charging environment.SOLUTION: The charger includes: a current measuring section that obtains a current value flowing in a battery; and a control section that stores a current value that is charged and discharged to and from the battery in a predetermined period of time after charging is completed and a vehicle starts running and controls to vary an upper limit of a use area represented by a charging rate of the battery according to a maximum value of the current amount in a predetermined period of time. |
