A graphene laminate film comprises (i) a layer of graphene comprising overlapping flakes of single layer, bilayer and multilayer graphene, on (ii) a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate having thermal conductivity at RT of 0.15-0.24 W/mk, said graphene layer (i) has a thickness of 8-44µm, a mass density of 1.0-1.9 g/cm3 and electrical resistance of 1.8-6.1 Ω. The graphene laminate layer may be deposited or compressed onto the polyethylene terephthalate substrate to determine physical parameters affecting heat conduction. Measurements of thermal conductivity of the graphene laminate film are performed by usingoptothermal Raman technique and a set of suspended samples with the graphene laminate thickness from 8-44 µm. The thermal conductivity of the graphene laminate film is in a range from 40 W/mK to 90 W/mK at room temperature. It is found unexpectedly that an average size of a graphene flake is a more important parameter defining heat conduction than the mass density of the graphene laminate film. |
