PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having good storage stability of ink and giving an image that particularly achieves both of color developability on a plain paper in high-speed printing and suppression of changes in the print density with time due to sedimentation of a pigment.SOLUTION: A black ink composition comprising a pigment is provided, in which a value calculated from an average particle diameter and a particle diameter distribution width of the pigment and an ink viscosity is within a given range, and the number of coarse particles included in the ink composition is a given value or less. The black ink composition is used for an inkjet recording method. |
