The invention provides a damping mechanism of a torque transferring device. The damping mechanism prevents impact at the beginning of the relative rotation of a spring maintaining plate and driven plate in a damping mechanism of a lock-up clutch. On the spring maintaining plate (3) combined with a locking piston, a spring is configured in a preloading state such that the two ends of the spring are supported on adjacent abutting portions (34) on the circumferential direction. The driven plate (4) is equipped with a spring bearing portion (45) that pushes one end of the spring when rotating relative to the spring maintaining plate (3). The abutting rim (45c) of the spring bearing portion (45) is inclined in a manner that a radial outer periphery side is protruded toward the spring than a radial inner periphery side with respect to the end rim (34d) supporting one end of the spring of abutting portions (34), and is provided with a circumferential protruded end (P). At the beginning of the relative rotation, the circumferential protruded end (P) pushes the external diameter side, with a low compressed degree, of the arc spring so that the transferring torque of the driven plate is low in changed slope in order to reliably prevent impact. |
